The Nokia E5 launches in the UK today on the Nokia online shop. The E5 handset is Nokia’s latest addition to the E Series and poses another challenge to RIM’s Blackberry in the enterprise space.

The phone comes with a full QWERTY keyboard and a 2.4-inch screen. Aimed at the business user, work and personal email accounts can be accessed from the handset via a rapid and intuitive set up. The Nokia E5 also comes with business-grade security and device management functions such as remote locking with SMS and device and memory card encryption.

The device also includes free Ovi Maps - a Sat Nav and pedestrian turn by turn navigator with TimeOut, Expedia, Michelin, Lonely Planet, Qype and Trip Advisor applications for most countries. The phone also allows rapid internet access (HSDPA/HSUPA and WLAN) and features a five-megapixel camera.

Available in carbon black or chalk white, the Nokia E5 is priced at £259 Sim-free and is available now from www.shop.nokia.co.uk. The Nokia E5 will also be available at Orange. The network has the phone featured on a new page on its official store which states it is ‘coming soon’.
